The North Sea’s frigid waters are unforgiving.
Working more than 300m deep, in pitch black and under crushing pressure more than 30 times greater than that on the surface, requires courage and skill. The North Sea Divers, who in 1967 first helped unlock the riches off the coast of Norway, had those qualities in droves. Their work paved the way for Norway to invest its wealth in socially and environmentally friendly projects that will benefit generations to come.
